On Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 10 am to 4 pm, highly talented hairdressers in 7 salons in Toronto volunteered their time to cut your hair. The salons were Solo Bace, Lift Salon and Spa, Space Haircraft Salon and Spa, Salon Escape, Hair By David, Now Salon and La Main D'Or. The money you paid for your hair cut ALL went straight to The Teresa Group’s Family Support Program that helps hundreds of children in OUR CITY who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
As a thank you for participating you received a gift bag valued at over $60. Since you needed a hair cut anyway, this was an easy way to support a great cause. Plus, when else do you get a gift bag for getting your hair cut?
Many of those who couldn’t make it on Oct. 22, made a donation to our Brick Walls of Compassion. Each brick on the Platinum Brick Wall of Compassion cost $500, bricks on the Gold Brick Wall of Compassion cost $250 and bricks on the Yellow Brick Wall of Compassion cost $50. The bricks were 100% tax deductible.
